JOB SUMMARY
The Family/Community Support Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director/Director of the ECCE Division. The Family/Community Support Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing and evaluating family and community support services within (assigned) educational districts.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and supervises the implementation of family community support activities within educational districts.
- Develops programmes to encourage and support family/community participation in the field of ECCE.
- Supports the work of family community support officers through supervision training and the provision of resource material.
- Participates in meetings, workshops and other sessions to identify and generate solutions to problems which may arise in implementing family community support activities.
- Acts as liaison providing and exchanging information to Ministry of Education official, non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate the overall implementation of family community support activities and plans for and makes revisions as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree from an accredited University.
- (Components in guidance and counselling social work will be an asset)
- Considerable knowledge and experience in the field of ECCE.
- A thorough understanding of the education system in Trinidad and Tobago with specific reference to ECCE.
