JOB SUMMARY
The Social Work Specialist is responsible for assisting in the coordination of School Social Work services and is expected to perform difficult to complex professional administrative activities related to social work.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Articulates the vision and mission of the SSSD in accordance with Government‘s policy.
- Assists in the preparation of reports of finances, staffing and programmes of support services.
- Assists the Coordinator in organizing and conducting In-service training for social work personnel.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate database and management systems.
- Manages a referral service.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Masters degree in Social Work or its equivalent from an accredited University
- Considerable experience in the education system, with at least five (5) years’ experience in an Administrative Position.
- Management qualifications would be an asset
