E – Learning Technical Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: –

The eLearning Technical Assistant (eLTA) is responsible for assisting the LMS Administrator with the semi-decentralized management of the LMS. The eLTA will be required to provide specialised, generalised and administrative support to an assigned group of schools. The incumbent will be required to provide direct assistance to teachers in the modification and provision of course shells and will also be responsible for student and teacher LMS related queries and overall support to stakeholders across the LMS in other areas, as guided by the LMS Administrator.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –

  • Assist the LMS administrator with management and maintenance of the LMS.
  • Provide course shell provisioning support to teachers based upon schools under one’s purview on the LMS.
  • Assist with course enrolment where relevant, of students and teachers into their course shells.
  • Assist the LMS administrator with course management & archiving (with schools within the LMS under one’s purview) based upon articulated workflows and protocols.
  • Responding to requests for support (received via tickets, email or phone) from users on the platform.
  • Contribute to data retrieval and reports across the schools under one’s purview within the LMS.
  • Contribute to the development of asynchronous resources – F.A.Qs, written/video tutorials, website copy, etc.
  • Assist all users of the platform.
  • Other relevantly assigned duties in multimedia content creation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: –

  • Training as evidenced by the possession of a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or a  Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, Learning Technologies or any related field
  • One (1) year work experience in a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:-

  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mind-set
